Red Rickshaw closed?
I have just heard the sad news that Red Rickshaw have closed.
I found them to be a very reliable company.
I will miss them.

Out of business?
I always used to find RR very good. But just now when I visited their website, this popup message appeared:
"Dear Customer,
Despite having a loyal customer base and a strong reputation, the deteriorating economic environment has made it increasingly difficult for the Company to meet its’ day to day expenses whilst attempting to meet its necessary growth targets.
With no prospect of further investment, the directors have taken the difficult decision to cease trading with immediate effect.
Please note, if you have an outstanding order you will receive a full refund.
We would like to thank our customers for all of their support over the years.
We have engaged PKF GM, a business advisory and corporate recovery firm, to assist the Company in placing it into Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation.
If you have any queries regarding your order or the proposed Liquidation, please contact PKF GM at redrickshaw (at) pkfgm.co.uk."
Sad. At least they are doing this the correct way.
No mango delivery and lack of full refund
I ordered a box of 12 Alphonso mangoes to be delivered on the 25th of May 2022. This was my first order as Red Rickshaw came highly recommended. The order was never delivered and upon emailing the company I received a refund of £29.90 but to date, despite numerous emails, I have not received the balance of £5.99 representing the shipping. I am extremely disappointed.

I feel really sad that i have to make this review , RR was one of my favourite places to shop but , this order has been a disaster , the order didn't arrive , they say they are sending it out again, but , what happened to the last one . They are blaming the courier , but , they didn't receive it , so , if they don't have it they cant deliver it . SUCH a shame .
bad quality and bad service
i made 2 orders.
order 1: i ordered 3 bags of amla out of which one was rotten.!!! i let them know but no refund was offered.
order 2:
i ordered 2 items, each £2.50
delivery costs £5.99
they were out of stock, so sent me just one item and i paid £5.99 for delivery.
I would have expected that they let me know, so i could have a chance to cancel that order. the one item came in a huge box too. What a waste of my money and the planet's resources.

I love okra
I love okra, and the 'sliminess' some people dislike is simply an easy to digest form of dietary fibre. There is none available in any shop near Camborne.
After ordering 500g from Red Rickshaw, it was quick to arrive, and very fresh, large okra far better than in any shop I know. Superlative! Couldn't be more pleased! ?

Appalling service
Appalling service. Email at 16.15 on day of delivery saying would not be delivering because of "quality control issues". No indication of when would be delivered. I emailed to cancel immediately as needed it for that evening and no use for it the following day. No response till next day when was told that could not cancel as on the way. Repeated request for cancellation and refund. Told shame to waster perishable goods and offered £15 voucher on next purchase (there will be no next purchase) Delivered to wrong address that day and i had to go and pick up. Point blank refusal to cancel and refund despite repeated requests. Latest response today is that I could only cancel 2 days before delivery! Unclear how that possible when only told me on day of delivery that would not be delivered. Dreadful service, appalling responses with refusal to engage with issue. Will certainly not be using them again.

Unreliable: no delivery, no customer care
I placed my order on Tuesday, they claimed they would deliver by 6pm on Thursday. On Thursday at 6pm I emailed them asking why I did not receive my package, they said it was becaise one of the items was not available (do I have to reach out for them to realize it?), that I would get my order the day after, and closed my ticket. The order didn't arrive the day after either.
I asked for a refund and won't order from here again.

Delicious mangos at peak ripeness
Delicious mangos at peak ripeness. 4 stars only because they promised they’d come Monday and they arrived 1st thing Tuesday, which feels like a very small quibble. Would definitely order again.

Blant, Non Sweet, Rotten Alphonso
I bought a dozen of Alphonso Mangoes and half a dozen of badami. I am heavily disappointed with the quality of the Alphonso mangoes(i have emailed photos). Half of them went bad , and all of them were sour/tangy and tasted blant with no sweetness. £30 was wasted on poor quality mangoes from a reputed company like you. The badami were good.
What is the process to raise a formal complaint and get a refund. ?

Appreciate not all can be inspected inside but a few were visibly not good quality from the outside. For the £30 premium would expect much better quality
Selling a more expensive version of custard apple but shipping a cheaper variety
One of the products supplied were of extremely poor quality and had rotten leaves.
One other product was told on the day of delivery that they didn't have the product in stock and would be refunded. They haven't done so but were able to take payment with no problem.
Third product they advertised on their website that they would supply the custard apple (Annona squamosa) but they supplied a much cheaper related custard apple (Annona cherimola). On contacting the supplier I was told that they are the same thing despite me stating numerous times that they are different fruits. I have asked them to collect the products and give me a refund but they refuse. It is as if they posted a picture of Royal Gala Apples but they provided Crab Apples.

Absolutely stunned after receiving all rotten fruits and vegetables. I have no idea how they received good ratings on trust pilot! I wish I could upload pictures here to show what kind of goods i received.
So disappointed and angry.
I have asked for a refund from the company, they haven't got back yet, and even if they send me refund I would still leave this review since these kind of products should not have left their warehouse in the first place! Rotten and expired items sent.
I will take this further and thinking of complaining to Report a food safety or hygiene issue on the government's website if they don't refund my money and formally apologises.

This was the first time I had ordered from Red Rickshaw. Very good quality products and the price is also a big plus. Quick delivery, just one small niggle the samosas were packed inside a padded cool bag and were well protected, it's a pity the poppadoms weren't packed with them as they were loose in the main box some were damaged. I will order more products from them soon.
